Teacher Tombstones!

Allison's Tombstone Bag:

For my Tombstone Bag, I would want to take a few objects to the afterlife that had significant meaning to me. Inside my bag would be a picture of my family, including a picture of my dog Dina and my cat Carmel, because they are the most important aspects of my life! I would also bring my Penn State Nittany Lion stuffed animal, a sketchbook with charcoal pencils because I am an artist, and chocolate chip cookies because they are my favorite food. Since my last name begins with an "A", according to the Ancient Egyptian social scale, I would be a Pharaoh. Since I would be of a royal family, I would make sure to decorate my bag with jewels, money, and crowns.

Allison & Leah, the creators of this Web Quest, talk about what they would put inside their Tombstone Bags.

Leah's Tombstone Bag:

For my Tombstone Bag I wanted to pick things from my life that are important to me, that I could not imagine being without. Inside my bag would be my favorite food chocolate! I love everything chocolate! If I could eat chocolate for every meal I would. I have even painted with chocolate before! Next, I would include my favorite pair of sneakers because I love to run and stay active. I use the time when I am running to think of new ideas for art projects.  Lastly, Penn State is very important to me because not only do I LOVE the school that I go to, but my brothers graduated from here as well, and it is a special bond for my family to all attend Penn State. My last name begins with an "E" so I am assigned the job of Court Official. I would make sure to include in my design that I am a rule maker and keep the city in order!
